An urethane alkyd finishing coat for vehicles, plant and machinery. Excellent durability with good resistance to oils, grease, etc. Dries to tough film with high abrasion and impact resistance.

Dacthane finishes from the Dacmix scheme are 'Compliant' to Environmental Protection Act (1990) Clause 20(d) of Guidance Note PG6/23 (97).

Colours available: All British Standard, RAL shades and most commercial vehicle colours available on the Dacmix tinting scheme.
Appearance Of Dried Film: Gloss
Volume Solids: 54% (may vary with colour)
Dry Film Thickness: Typical 40 microns / Range 35-55 microns
Theoretical Coverage: 13.5m² per litre at 40 microns dry film thickness
Drying Time At 20°C:
Touch Dry: 2 hours
Film Dry: 4 hours
Overcoat: Overnight or with 2 hours. See Note
(will vary with temperature, air movements, etc.)
V.O.C.: <420 gm/litre
Packaging: 5 litre containers
Shelf Life: 2 years or longer in unopened containers when stored under cover in good storage conditions.
Storage: Under cover with temperature range of 5°C to 32°C.
Surface Preparation: Normally applied over Dacrylate range of primers, eg. 95-Line, 98-Line, Dacmix UHB Primer, etc.
Ensure surface is clean and dry.
Application: Supplied ready for use by brush.
Apply by conventional or airless spray may require addition of up to 15% Dacrylate Thinner R70 to achieve optimum spray characteristics.
Polychromatic colours such as RAL 9006 and RAL 9007 may be susceptible to slight variations in colour depending on application methods and the type of paint. In order to obtain the best colour and appearance, these colours are best spray applied.
Overcoating: Should a second coat of Dacthane Enamel be required, this can be applied as soon as the first coat is touch dry, ie. up to 2 hours - or allow coating to dry completely for at least 16 hours.
Clean-up: Dacrylate Thinner R1 or R70.
