We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our experienced manufacturing team. You will play a vital role in the creation of our high-performance industrial coatings, supporting our legacy of excellence and innovation in British manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate manufacturing equipment including high-speed dispersers (HSDs), bead mills, and pumps
• Manufacture coatings to precise specifications and production deadlines
• Handle and process hazardous and non-hazardous raw materials
• Follow production formulas and submit samples for quality control checks
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas in line with Health & Safety policies
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and order completion
• Assist with stock control and participate in inventory audits
• Report equipment issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
• Experience in a production or manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with operating machinery and handling raw materials
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• GCSEs in Maths, Science, or a Technology-based subject
Desirable skills
• Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment
• Knowledge of mixing/blending in a batch production environment
• Previous work in the coatings, paints, or chemical sector
• Competency in weighing and handling powdered raw materials
