Dacrylate has confirmed its entry into the dragon boat race at the Nottingham Riverside Festival on Sunday 2nd August 2015.
Dragon boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and the fastest growing water activity in Britain today – as well as the most fun! The Dacrylate team will paddle a 30’ boat with a drummer at the front beating time. Members of the Dacrylate team have no experience of dragon boat racing but assure that there will be plenty of team spirit.
It is expected that up to 50 crews are expected to battle it out over the 200m race course on the River Trent at the Victoria Embankment watched by thousands of spectators.
The challenge is in aid of the Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, where time is precious for children, young people, and families from across the East Midlands.
By taking part in the Dragon Boat Challenge to raise money for Rainbows, Dacrylate will be part of something really special that brings care and happiness to those who are facing the most extraordinary challenges. For further information visit www.rainbows.co.uk.
