Paint giveaway for Nottinghamshire!

We are excited that the Community RePaint Nottinghamshire scheme, run by our waste management partner Veolia, is giving away reusable paint from their Warsop and Calverton Recycling Centres in Nottinghamshire to local residents.

The Community RePaint Nottinghamshire scheme provides free paint to local community groups, however, this is the first time that the scheme is open to local residents. In conjunction with the scheme, the Veolia recycling centres will be hosting a range of events to demonstrate the impact of the circular economy and how it reduces the impact on the environment.

Working with Veolia and the industry-led PaintCare project, we are committed to helping create a sustainable circular economy for leftover paint reducing the amount that goes to landfill. It is estimated that 55 million litres of leftover decorative paint are generated each year in the UK, which largely ends up in landfill.

By working with the local and national government, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders donated and surplus paint is distributed to individuals, families, communities and charities in need, improving the wellbeing of people and the appearance of buildings.

Veolia, with Nottinghamshire County Council, will be running events at the following centres. Pre-booking is essential.

•   Calverton Recycling Centre, NG14 6NR
•   Warsop Recycling Centre, NG20 0JG
